Ubuntu searches apparently being sent to third parties |

This is apparently not breaking news, but Ubuntu's dash searches are getting sent to various third parties to allow Ubuntu to cater advertisements towards you. Sounds innocent, but the idea of getting all sorts of advertisements on my desktop is just eh... I'd almost rather pay for Windows.
Ubuntu has great potential, but a lot of their recent decisions seem to have me wondering. If there is a website that is quite literally dedicated to showing users how to disable features that invade your privacy, there is an issue.
How do you feel about Ubuntu's recent decisions regarding privacy?

Promotion Forums |

Promotion forums have been around for quite a while, giving webmasters a place to advertise their forums and to get webmaster support, post exchanges, design reviews, etc...
While the idea seems promising, many have also found them to have widely varying degrees of success with their forums. What is your opinion of promotion forums?

So do you actually honor the speed limits, or are you among the majority of drivers who go by a "five over" rule?
Be sure to vote in the poll!

So Imagine dragons is a (relatively) new band that has become pretty popular lately. I'm just getting into them myself.
Anyone else here listening to them lately?

Have you ever modded a game? |

I made a couple of useless mods for Simcity 4 a while back, which were thankfully never released. Now that I've purchased Cities XL, I'm now looking into seeing how to mod it.
Anyway, has anyone ever had any experience modding games before? Is modding something you enjoy, or do you prefer to leave games in their "vanilla" state?

So I just purchased Cities XL 2011 after getting my video card reinstalled. I sure hope my video card sticks this out, because I also just purchased some computer repair related things to get the card working.
Anyway, late as it is, I have just purchased the game, and am excited to try it out. Anyone here have any experience with it?
