  5,000 has been reached!
Posted by: Darth-Apple - September 29th, 2013 at 12:38 AM - Forum: Announcements - Replies (9)

I am now proud to say that the 5,000 post milestone has now been reached, thanks to our awesome community of members who have made it possible. It has been an interesting start to the community, but we only have good things in our future at this point, and we can expect great things. Big Grin

Also, I have enabled a new user tagging plugin. I'm not entirely sure how it works, but we should be able to figure it out pretty soon. I have several other updates planned as well. Big Grin

Stay tuned, and cheers for the community milestone! Big Grin

  Belkin Wireless USB problems
Posted by: Acko - September 28th, 2013 at 7:49 AM - Forum: Technology & Hardware - Replies (6)

Alright Mint gurus!

For the past 6 hours or so I have been trying to get the Belkin F9L1109v1 USB adapter to work. I have installed drivers provided by Realtek, found here, and went through the process of make -> make install -> sudo modprobe 8812au -> reboot. However, the OS still does not recognize the adapter. I'm not sure if Linux gurus are plentiful around here, but if you can, please help!

Many thanks!

It would be nice if the forum icons were clickable so we can mark them as read quickly.

AmazingForums - a community for online video creators
Posted by: Warwick - September 24th, 2013 at 6:39 PM - Forum: Other Communites & Promotion - Replies (4)

I recently launched an online community for video creators, meaning people who make and upload online video on sites such as YouTube, Vimeo, Metacafe, DailyMotion, Veoh...

It is mostly centered on YouTube, because it is the most used platforms for vloggers, gamers, comedians etc.

If you are interested in promoting your online videos, youtube channels, collaborating with other people with similar interests, joining a partnership network and earning money from your videos etc. then feel free to sign up at:

http://www.amazingforums.eu

If you have any friends on social networks who are youtubers, recommend them to sign up on my community.

Thanks for your time.

  cPanel
Posted by: Darth-Apple - September 24th, 2013 at 3:15 AM - Forum: Web Design & Internet - Replies (1)

Personally, only once have I ever used webhosting that was bundled with cPanel. (call me cheap, but I tend to go the unmanaged VPS route instead. Tongue )

cPanel is very convenient, however. It does seem a bit expensive and resource intensive for what it is, but being able to find everything in one place is nice.

What are your opinions on cPanel?
