Any of you guys play Minecraft around here?
I do occasionally with my youngest brother. It's a bond we have anytime I'm near my family's town. I've long been considering making a server, was wondering if anyone already had one or would be interested in teaming up for one?

Eating on the Cheap |

In times of crisis, there are situations when you need to eat as cheaply as possible. Right now, my goal is to eat for $25/week. Here's my breakdown:
- Multivitamin, to make up for the total lack of nutrition on everything below on the list.
- Lots of canned soups. Chef boyardee when you can get a sale, especially.
- Ice cream. Has a TON of calories and is very cheap.
- Ramen noodles as overflow. When I run out of other things, Ramen noodles are about 20 cents a meal if you eat two packs every time.
- Cheap frozen pizzas. We can get them for about a dollar a meal around here.
- Cereal on a good sale.
- Pop tarts as a snack (only because a nearby store sells them hella cheap).
How are you saving money during this time? What's on your list for the dinner table every night?

Hi,
New here to the forum, i come from the signature at "community.mybb.com".
1 - Do you need content to populate your forum?
2 - Are you using simulator or any other software to emulate users in the forum?
That's it, Thanks

Proboards done Goofed |

Proboards is one of the largest (if not the largest) free forum host on the internet. They wrote their software from the ground up, and it's actually not bad (albeit somewhat outdated), but the problem isn't the software or the size. It's the policies.
They lock down content so tightly that it is illegal to even attempt to get your content off. Users "own" their individual content (not ordinarily a bad thing), BUT they OWN it so tightly that if an administrator ever wants to move to a different host, they, legally, have to request permission from EVERY single user that has posted, write a crawler/scraper, and get ONLY the posts for which the permission has been granted onto their new host. And there is no database export option.
It's gone a little far. Forumotion was similar back in the day, but at least they didn't have licensing gotchas that could have gotten you sued back in the day. They don't allow it, per se, but people have used them many times, so it's at least possible to move to a different host if you ever need to have it done.
Anyway, I found this recently. It's quite literally proboards. Exact same software and all, but "for businesses"
https://www.forums.net/pricing
I'm sorry, but if I have $200/month, I'm going straight to IP.Community and paying them 1/10 that amount to host on REAL paid software instead. End of story.

Hello Makestation Community,
We have decided to invite Lain onboard as our new designer/design assistant! His work with the dark design was great and many of you guys have spoken very positively of it. He will now have full access to our theme base and will be joining to help us maintain and improve them.
Simlink and I made this theme back in 2014. We have been using it with incremental improvements ever since. As such, we do not plan a full redesign of the website, but we will be making continued improvements during the coming months. The primary focus is responsiveness and modernization, as well as some bug fixes and improvements. We expect a cleaner, better, and more modern design to emerge over the next few months!
Also, to Station Green users: Would you like to see a modernized version of the design based on the current designs? Core T7 and Station Green are still maintained, but these are very old versions of our design and are not mobile-friendly. That said, they are more streamlined and we would like to keep at least one lightweight theme for the forums, so please give us feedback on what you think and what you would like to see!

Cities Skylines Sunset Harbor |

Cities Skylines is releasing a new expansion pack next week. This one will have a lot of addons related to health, water treatment, beaches, and so forth, but most notably, it's going to have above-ground metros for the first time in the game's history.
I'm beyond excited about this one. I can't even begin to describe how many times I have had trouble getting subways through deep rivers, only to end up splitting the network into two separate networks. It will also allow me to build above-ground rails without resorting to passenger trains or monorails (which aren't generally very effective in the game for some odd reason or another).
