  Zimmerman verdict
Posted by: wasi90lk - July 23rd, 2013 at 10:53 PM - Forum: Current Events - Replies (10)

Do you think Zimmerman verdict was right?

I think he should have been guilty, the verdict was not right in my opinion.

  Day one DLC
Posted by: Acko - July 23rd, 2013 at 10:04 PM - Forum: Other Games - Replies (3)

Many games have day-one DLC which release on the same day the game is released. What are your thoughts on this. I think it's a cash hog and the features of that DLC could simply be implemented in the main release.

EDIT: Fixed some grammar fails, was a bit under the influence there it seems Tongue

Drupal 8 - too resource intensive?
Posted by: Darth-Apple - July 23rd, 2013 at 6:53 PM - Forum: Web Design & Internet - No Replies

Drupal is a very popular and extremely powerful CMS framework that can be used to build just about anything. In fact, makestation could easily be powered by it. Unfortunately, it's neither beginner-friendly nor is it light on resource usage. Drupal 7 was quite resource intensive, and Drupal 8 won't even run on this server! Just to give you an idea, go to http://hardwiredgoogle.com to see how slowly a drupal 7 website loads. Tongue

Personally, I didn't really mind how resource intensive Drupal 7 was because it was powerful enough to make up for it, but Drupal 8 having such a strict list of server requirements makes me a bit uncomfortable. What's your opinion? Should they be willing to make it more resource intensive to make it more powerful, or is it powerful enough as it is?

  Cable companies
Posted by: That Punk Guy - July 23rd, 2013 at 5:16 PM - Forum: Technology & Hardware - Replies (7)

Who is your cable company?

Carmel has Bright House Networks, a spinoff of Time Warner Cable, created in 2003.

Most of the Indy suburbs, such as Noblesville and Fishers, have Comcast however (because they used to be served by Insight Cable until they sold their Indiana operations to Comcast).

  USB Devices

Seems like nowadays, you can hook up anything to a USB port. What USB devices do you have?

I have an ADATA S102 16GB USB 3.0 thumb drive, which works wonderfully!

I also have a Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-950Q, an HD TV tuner that allows me to pickup broadcast TV stations on my laptop. It's quite expensive though ($74.99 at Fry's).

  Chicken vs beef

Which one do you prefer?

I believe chicken is healthier, but beef actually tastes better to me.

What about you?

  Bootstrap and Foundation
Posted by: Darth-Apple - July 23rd, 2013 at 4:32 AM - Forum: Web Design & Internet - Replies (2)

Both bootstrap and foundation are powerful frontend frameworks that can save quite a bit of time when developing web design projects. While I try not to rely on them, I do admit to using bootstrap on my file exchange software, and it has saved me a lot of time.

Anyone else have any experiences with bootstrap or foundation? Also, for those who have used both, which do you prefer? I personally prefer bootstrap, but foundation is very nice as well..

  Communism vs capitalism
Posted by: wasi90lk - July 22nd, 2013 at 6:39 PM - Forum: Poll Booth - Replies (4)

Which one do you prefer?

Both have pros and cons.

In communism, lazy people will get benefits.

In capitalism, poor will remain poor and rich will remain rich.
