Would you consider yourself a good writer?
Posted by: Darth-Apple - July 28th, 2013 at 7:11 PM - Forum: Creative Writing - Replies (14)

Personally, I'd say I'm a decent writer, but I would never really be able to make a living off of it. The best I can do is make good grades on papers, but I still enjoy it.

So, are there any accomplished writers here at Makestation? If so, be sure to show us some of your writings in this board! Big Grin

  Motivation?
Posted by: Darth-Apple - July 28th, 2013 at 7:08 PM - Forum: Launchpad - Replies (5)

Personally, I'm the kind of guy who has no issue coming up with unique ideas, but when it comes to actually putting forth the effort and work to make them a reality, motivation becomes an issue. I tend to like projects that can be completed within a few weeks, and often far-fetched ideas and projects take many months or years to complete. Generally, it really helps me to stay motivated when I make it a priority and spend a considerable amount of time on a project on a consistent basis. When it becomes a part of my daily routine to do coding for a specific project, or something along those lines, it becomes easier to stay with the project even after many months.

So what are your creativity motivation tips?

  Collaborative World Project
Posted by: Acko - July 27th, 2013 at 7:15 PM - Forum: Web Design & Internet - No Replies

The collaborative world project, on alternatehistory.com's forums, is a collaborative fictional world project. It's pretty much parallel to our earth. It's a very awesome project, and the entire base for the world (geography, ecology, etc.) has been finished, and now the basic history is being discussed. Here's a link if you want to check it out: http://www.alternatehistory.com/discussi...p?t=282532

(heck, you should already know where althist.com is, it's a very good community nonetheless).

(move this if section wrong; I don't want to post it in projects because it isn't mine)

  Ebook vs hard copy
Posted by: wasi90lk - July 27th, 2013 at 5:10 AM - Forum: Creative Writing - Replies (18)

Which one do you prefer?

Personally I love to read ebooks. Hard copy is often too heavy for me.

What is worse, failing or not trying?

I think not trying is worse, because in failures you at least learn something.

Discuss here.

  Music library

I use WMP for my music player/library purposes. It's not so different to WinAmp or iTunes, and is pre-installed anyways.

Have you ever gotten scammed online?
Posted by: wasi90lk - July 26th, 2013 at 3:00 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (7)

I got scammed online a few times.

Once I was hired by a person to post in a forum. After I am done with my works, the person stopped communication.

I lost $5.

I tend to take around 20-30 minutes to finish my shower. What about you?
