Personally, I love macs, but at their current pricing they aren't easy to afford, so my vote is PC. What's your preference?

There are literally thousands of webhosts out there. Some are better than others. Have an experience at a webhost you'd like to share, a recommendation, or a warning to fellow admins about which hosts to avoid? Discuss here.

So far, the best webhost that I've ever used is Ramnode. Their prices are reasonable, their policies are honest, and their service is good. They also have a great support team, so I'd say it's a win in a lot of ways. They are unmanaged, so you have to be knowledgeable about servers, but it's worth it.
The worst paid host I've ever used is probably dreamhost. They aren't terrible, but they are very slow and have a lot of downtime. Just go to http://hardwiredgoogle.com to see how slow their servers are. Dreamhost has some other features that are pretty cool, but I'd rather have good server performance than lots of features.
Of course I have had far worse experiences at free webhosts, so I won't complain too much.

Bitcoins are a new form of currency that is becoming popular at a rapid pace. Bitcoin mining is also becoming a popular practice where people collectively work to create hashes using a giant amount of hardware and are awarded bitcoins as a result. The rapid progress of bitcoins has lead to a heated debate over the usage of bitcoins in recent times. Some feel that the electronic form of currency is a symbol of progress, and others feel that technology can always fail, and it is thus unreliable as a currency.

Personally, I use firefox because it usually does a better job rendering web pages, although the interface and stability of Chrome is much better. What's your opinion? Be sure to vote in the poll!

So I've just started watching E3, and quite honestly, I cannot STAND watching Microsoft's E3 conference. This is the most I have ever heard the word 'innovation' used incorrectly. Although this was a short rant, I just want to know, if you do watch E3, what do you think of it (particularly Microsoft's block)>

Do you like thrash metal? |

Bands like megadeath, metallica, iron maiden and many others have written some rather heavy thrash metal. Usually the guitarist ends up treating the entire song like a guitar solo, and screaming high vocals distinguish the genre from pretty much every other genre in existence. Personally, I've always felt like it's a bit much, but most thrash bands have a few interesting songs as well. What's your opinion of the genre?
