Amod, for Minecraft |

Amod for Minecraft is going to be a collection of tweaks that make the game more fun (for me, at least). As MCP for Minecraft 1.6.1 has now been released, the mod is in full development. Here's the (very short!) current list of implemented or planned features (green = implemented; yellow = in progress; red = planned):
*Huge Mushrooms now generate in Forest and Swamp biomes
*NPC Villages no longer generate naturally; However, villager spawn eggs may now be found in spawner chests.
*Biomes generate based on temperature of any nearby biomes (no more deserts next to taigas, swamps, next to tundra.
Here's a small proof of concept release with the current progress:

This mod doesn't require either Forge or Modloader. It is for 1.6. Here's how to install mods with the new launcher: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nb8dd696jiY

Getting the word out? |

Makestation has been around for a little longer than a month now, and we already are approaching 2500 posts. We've definitely grown quite a bit since launch, but obviously one of the hardest parts of launching a new community is getting new members to join. I've been promoting through signature links at many places I am active at, and we've gotten hundreds of visits through signature links so far. (Something as simple as "Makestation.net - creativity showcase community " seems to get quite a few visits when put in the signature. )
Even though traffic has increased, the word hasn't really begun to get out at very many places yet. Do you guys have any suggestions on where we can promote Makestation and get the word out?

Good IDE to use? |

As many of you probably already know, I do quite a bit of PHP programming, as well as additonal programming in some other languages. Currently I do all of my PHP development on a live server since my localhost tends to screw things up at times. Notepadd++ and filezilla are all that I have to work with at this point though.
I've been considering getting an IDE to help with things such as auto-indenting code, etc..., but I'm not really sure which one will work best for PHP. Any suggestions?

Personally, my local weather station is alright, but like most weather stations they are always wrong past about two days ahead in the forecast. I'll rate it 3/5.
How would you rate your local weather service?

This game is pretty simple. At a time which has already been decided, I will close this thread. The goal is to be the last poster to have posted before this thread has closed. The winner of this round will get a "stamp of blessings" badge added to their profile.
I'll kick the conversation off...
SMFnew is not much fun to work with. They are still down, and unfortunately they have given no real info of when they will be back online... sigh.
