  Shark Tank

Hi there!
I don't know if you ever watched this show before, but it's on at ABC on Friday nights. This is actually the perfect show for creative and innovative people to watch!
The general concept of the show is people who had an idea or invention and opened up their own company, seeking for investments and expert help to grow their business. People go there to present their company to the "sharks". There are 4 "sharks" - self made entrepreneurs that became millionaires and billionaires with their inventions and companies.
The person goes there, present their business, answer the sharks questions and then it's up to them to decide if they want to invest or not. They will usually invest money for equity in the company, and the amount varies according to what the person asks for and the business' measured value.
It's such a great show and I love seeing people's great (some not so great) ideas and inventions!

  Hello from Brazil!
Posted by: isabbbela - April 23rd, 2014 at 9:08 PM - Forum: Introductions - Replies (1)

Hi guys!
My name is Isabela, I'm 25 and I'm from Brazil.
I'm really excited to have found this website! I've always considered myself a very creative person, and even though I suck at art, I'm great at writing and creating stories in general. I've been wanting to get more inspiration and motivation to start writing more, and this sounds like a fun forum to be a part of!
See you around!

  Black Mirror

I recommend the English TV series called "Black mirror" to all you creatives out there with a taste for freakish dystopian themes. It can be put in the same genre of twilight zone but with more of a BBC drama / science fiction feel to it. Its scary because these dystopian fictions could actually become reality, and thats why its absolutely fascinating to watch too Smile

Stoked to have found this forum. I'm more into physical and musical creativity, I am a keen juggler, unicyclist and object manipulator. I also play didgeridoo and have mastered circular breathing.. Also an avid computer gamer Wink (sorry if you dont think that counts)

If anyone wants to collaborate with me in creative endevours then let me know! Smile

  Driving pet peeves
Posted by: Darth-Apple - April 23rd, 2014 at 7:32 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (16)

What are some of your biggest pet peeves about the drivers you share the road with?

Personally, I can't stand people who get angry because you are driving five above the speed limit, and people who don't use their turn signals are pretty annoying as well.

Hello! My name is Beth. It's lovely to meet you all!

I am primarily a writer - I have been involved in the writing community on a professional level for several years and currently am the Editor-In-Chief for Eat Sleep Write (www.eatsleepwrite.net) - a community of writers, editors, publishers and anything to do with the writing community!

In addition to writing I am also a musician and teach violin to several students. I am learning cello, play some guitar, and sing. I have a deep passion for music and love creating, sharing, and learning it.

I'm sure there are things I am missing here, but that's the fun of discovery, isn't it? See you around the boards!

Anyone used Amazon to sell their work?
Posted by: bench91 - April 22nd, 2014 at 1:55 PM - Forum: Creative Writing - Replies (4)

Has anyone been successful with putting their work on Amazon and did you use amazon's createspace to download your works? l am thinking of using createspace to add my work as it seems easy to use.
