Budget phone photography gallery? |

The title basically explains it. I had a brain idea of taking shots with lower end and middle end phone cameras and putting up a gallery and forum. It'll be powered by MyBB and the awesome power of XThreads.
It's not exactly an isolated idea, quite a few friends of me are quite into this and they can provide their own shots for show. On top of that, I've had a design idea chew my head through the exams and it wants an outlet.
What's your take?

What time do you hit the bed? |

Personally, I have not been much of a morning person lately due to some late nights at work, so I'll hit the bed anywhere from 11PM to 3AM, and have no set time for when I get up in the mornings. I'm hoping to change my habits a bit for this upcoming year because quite frankly, there are plenty of benefits to a more stable sleep schedule.
What time do you generally set for going to bed?

Cold showers |

I recently started taking cold showers for the health benefits and the nofap challenge. I have taken 5 1/2 so far. My first one was on easy mode where I turned the water to cold-ish at the end. Then after that is when I started going in very cold from the beginning. I noticed the several mental benefits after every one. I hope that it's a habit I never break. I have very little experience with them but so far they are great.
Can we have a discussion about cold showers?

How to use the Slice tool for web pages & elements
In this tutorial, I am going to be outlining the process of slicing. What you will learn:
- How to slice elements you want.
- How to export your design in HTML.
- How to get element's working.
1. Design your website!
First of all, you need to create a design in photoshop. This can be a full web page or just some elements. I have chosen some elements I quickly designed earlier today.
2. Slicing your design.
Now, you need to slice your design into sections. I recommend slicing each different section, as this makes it much easier later on whilst editing.
The slice tool is found when you Right Click the crop tool.
To slice elements, simple drag the tool over the section you want, as if you were placing a shape.
3. Getting your design ready.
Once your design has been sliced, you need to get the code. To do this, goto: "File --> 'Save for Web'"
Check all the slices are correct. Choose a pre-set export, I would recommend PNG-24 for the best quality.
Once done, click "Preview" - This will open a page on your internet browser with the exported design & the code you need to make this happen.
Check it looks correct, and move on.
4. Export it!
Back on photoshop, click "Save". You need to give it a name, then make sure the format say "HTML and Images", Create a new folder with any name, open it and click save again.
This will create a folder called images and create the HTML file, if you open the html document, you webpage is done!
Then go on to edit in the elements for your design!

Planning to Start a Tech Forums/Site |

Hey guys
So I have plans to start a technology-based forum site called TekPlace. The site would allow for discussion regarding the internet, computers, video games, or anything else relating to technology.
I plan to use IcyBoards for the time being. Right now, I'm at the stage of searching for that perfect theme. If you have a suggestion, please let me know, as I am struggling to find a good one.
I am also currently looking for people that are willing to be mods or admins on the site. I'm not going to make the same mistake I did with SimCityDefined (previous site I made), where I had no staff to help me with anything. If you want to join in on the fun, shoot me a PM or reply to this thread.
I'll post updates here with everything that you nee to know.
EDIT: My forum has been created for a certain version of MyBB 1.8, but when I download a theme designed for 1.8 and try to install it, it says the theme is not compatible with the version. I don't want to ignore compatibility because that typically makes the theme look bad when going back to the main site. If you have a solution, please let me know.
