with all the various web design languages out there I know there's a lot of favorites, some work better than others, some are comparable.

with things like HTML5 and javascript becoming the kings of multimedia and flash dying out what do you prefer to use when it comes to multi-media on webpages?

with New RPG's coming out on the computer featuring this setting I thought it would be fitting to bring up the topic of the shadowrun tabletop RPG.

has anyone played it before? what are your thoughts on it, have you read any of the books or have an interest in the setting?

perhaps you are familiar with the setting from the video games alone.

either way this topic is to discuss Shadowrun, probably one of the coolest attempts to mix fantasy and cyberpunk sci-fi into one setting.

there's so many RPG settings out there that there's too many to list so here are some of my favorites.

Cyberpunk 2020 is a really great game, no fantasy, just pure cyberpunk techno-horror goodness, fighting megacorps, hacking servers, and taking down the sorts of evil we new see in our daily lives, imagine donald trump as a cyborg CEO in charge of walmart, microsoft, and AT&T and you get the idea of just the sorts of people you're either working for or up against, sometimes both.

Dungeons and Dragons, a true classic from the heyday of RPG's, it's one of my most favorite if only because of the lore and grand adventures you can have, few have ever matched it and it has many many imitators.

and finally as odd as it may seem I actually really enjoy the shadowrun tabletop game, it's sort of like a good mix of the first two, heavy cybeprunk with fantasy elements thrown in.
besides when else are you going to play an ork hacker who can also rip the cybernetic limbs off an elf because he screwed your group in an effort to turn more profit?

Re-posting this from space battles, I'm currently working on the latest excerpt so please bear with me.

so far it's meant to be sorta like a series of log entries and occasional exposition and storytelling from the perspective of myself if thrown into a truly wild adventure, in this case by an entity known only as hotep.

I apologize about the pacing and grammar, it's not my strong suit but I'm working on it.

so I'm working on this idea I Had for a further mod to my car's dashboard before I finish installing the CB and everything, the new radio has a composite input used for a rear backup camera but here's what I was actually thinking of using for it.



see I was thinking I could have a composite in to feed from a drone camera, a composite in for my portable computer in case I want to hack in the car but don't want to don the glasses.
then the backup camera (possibly mutliple angles/camera that can be switched between to check blind spots.

then 2 outputs, one to the dash screen/radio/media device and one to an external jack for plugging in a screen if needed (like glasses?)

edit: maybe an extra switch so I can turn the CB's audio/radio audio on/off

so I've got 3 days during the week of time to do whatever the hell I want and I figured hey maybe I should see about setting up a local-ish business where I build PC's for people and deliver/set them up on site for $$$, anyway that's the idea I'm thinking I want to do, does anyone have experience with this sorta thing and could offer some advise?
