This game is pretty simple. Each post simply adds four words to the story. I'll get us started.
It's a lovely afternoon...

I'm currently about 2,500-3,000 lines of code into my file exchange software. It is designed to be a system for gaming sites, mod databases, etc... where files can be uploaded, each with their own page, images, download counts, file ratings, and comment systems.
What's finished so far
* Development/codebase framework
* File downloads and uploads
* Each upload has its own page
* Each upload has an image
* User registration and login systems
* Category management system
* ACP framework
* User management panel
What's in progress
* File ratings
* File comments
* Full moderation system
What's left to do
* Add approval system for uploads.
* Build a nice theme
* Add better file size and type management controls
* Allow more images per upload.
* Theme comments system
* Test and debug
* Anti spambot features
I still consider the work pre-alpha, largely due to the terrible theming work. I plan on finishing a few more things, then releasing screenshots and pushing updates in the future.
EDIT: A significant amount of coding has been completed since this original post. Scroll down to see the newer development updates.
Looking for the code? Check this post for the latest proof-of-concept release.

INDIANAPOLIS, IND. - IndiePort, a newly established software firm based in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA, announced they will be starting a software download portal exclusively for independent software, announced Tuesday. The market will be called IndiePort Market and will have a mid-strict publishing application policy.
The policy consists of whether the software has any inappropriate content, and if the whole family could use the software or if it's only appropriate for teenagers. While the company is a Christian company, the Market will have only software that is considered "appropriate" for either the whole family, while keeping a Christian view in the review, or if it's suitable only for teenagers and older.
Each publisher will only have to pay a minimal amount of their sales to IndiePort, which will start at 20% or lower. Payment for software bought off the Market will be PayPal-only at launch with credit card processing through Google Wallet will come soon.
Beta testing sign-ups for the service will be taken starting June 8th.

Personally, I use microsoft security essentials as my primary antivirus software, and the free version of malwarebytes for occasional scans. Combined, I get fairly decent antivirus protection for free. What are your preferences?

SSD vs HDD |

SSD's in my opinion are far better than HDDs. I couldn't imagine computing without one now, myself. But they both have disadvantages and advantages.
HDD - potentially longer life, cost effective, more storage than SSDs. Often slow, have more errors than SSDs, often needs maintenance (defragging, etc)
SSD - Extremely fast, no maintenance, less errors. Very expensive for the amount of storage, intensive R/W operations can wear it out quickly.
Which do you prefer?

Should minimum wage be raised in America? |

This has become a pretty prominant question for american politics in recent years. Should minimum wage be raised?
Some argue that being paid minimum wage barely gives you anything to live by, and is basically an insult to employees. Others argue that if a business cannot afford to give higher wages, a job on minimum wage is better than no job at all. What are your thoughts?
