Fishing

#1
We live at the beach, so we go from time to time. I've never been good at it, but it's still a feeling like no other to be standing over the pier, watching the waves and the sunset with a lone little rod, just feeling the wind.

That said, it's much easier to freshwater fish than it is to fish over the pier because you can feel when a fish bites against the bait much more easily. But it's not the fishing that counts. It's the experience watching the view. Finna

Have you ever gone fishing? What do you use to help you succeed with catching (because I've been struggling out here) Tongue Finna

I used to go a lot as a kid. Whatever we caught was dinner. Haven't fished in over a decade. Have no reason to anymore.

I used to go fishing when we'd visit my aunt back when I was a preteen. She lived by the bay in Maryland, so we got to fish a lot during those times, especially my cousin (not her kid, but her nephew) and I. I was proud this one time when I was ten, because I caught the first fish of the day.

Childhood memores are never quite forgotten. I wish I had done it more when I was young... Oh, was I missing out. Finna Tongue

I enjoyed fishing, still do.

Back before the pandemic when my Jeep was still operational I'd take the canoe down to the lake, and row it out into the middle before casting a line.

I've always wanted to install the sail mod for it though and sail the lake while trawling.

You’ve got a Jeep. Even better. I had to throw mine in my Jetta and it barely fit. I pretty much exclusively fish on the beach. We don’t have a lot of good lakes, but we’ve got the beach and that’s enough. Finna

Lol I've a roof rack Darth, I tie it down so it doesn't blow away, and I have to adjust on windy days because it acts as a land sail. Makes driving more like piloting a schooner in that I have to constantly adjust for it.
