Will Facebook be the next Myspace?

#1
Myspace was obviously very popular back in its day, but it has not been competitive for a long time now. Facebook has now seen many years as well, and is beginning to change as a social networking platform. Do you think that it will become the "next myspace" in a sense?

I think Facebook has already surpassed Myspace.

I find it really funny that myspace ads are starting to show up again... Come on people. MySpace won't be coming back. Tongue

Facebook seems to have better saturation than myspace, and it had better timing than myspace, allowing for it to stay resonant. Facebook might turn to myspace, or maybe even worse :S But at the moment, there aren't that many alternatives, unless you really want to use Google +.

It doesn't seem like Google Plus will really replace anything at this point. It seems popular in the technology world, but beyond that not many are really using it.

Yeah, I think that Google plus isn't much of a competitor, since it isn't (in my opinion) much better than Facebook, and people aren't going to transfer to Google plus and get all their friends to do the same just because it may be a little better/ different.

Agreed. It seems that people generally prefer to stick to what they are used to, and that definitely won't help Google Plus' cause.
