Space Exploration vs Ocean Exploration

#1
In the past, ocean explorers sailed to unknown places.

How is space exploration similar?

How is it different?

There is a lot less we know about space than we know about the oceans. There is a decent percentage of the sea floor that remains unmapped, and there are (especially in the deeper areas) still a lot of things we have yet to learn. But space is pretty much a new frontier entirely. Even the planets we have sent unmanned missions to still leave A LOT left to explore.

Space exploration just seems more interesting to me, perhaps just because there's more to learn and there's less that's currently known.

Indeed they are very similar. They still haven't explored all the depths of the ocean. We have aliens right here on earth! At least some of those deep sea creatures look pretty crazy. I tell you whut.

Seems ocean exploration is in the news this week with the submarine visiting the Titanic wreckage disappearing with 5 people onboard.

Update on this, Navy picked up an implosion reading around the time contact with the sub was lost.  but they still have yet to find debris.

so either the sub imploded or something else happened.
