Have you taken part in a structured debate? What issue was debated? If not, do you think you would be good at debating in a formal way?

I did plenty of those in high school. It was a little weird being forced to debate on positions that I knew I didn't agree with (and were demonstrably incorrect). My approach to debate has always been to use the truth as my best weapon, and that's harder to do when you're given an assignment to intentionally debate for the wrong side.

I'd be interested in taking part in stuff like that again, but probably under better pretenses. I don't especially like debating in bad faith.
