A pair of used Michael Jordan sneakers fetched a record price at an auction in New York. The basketball legend's "Nike Air Jordan 1S" sneakers were auctioned for $ 560,000, equivalent to € 517,000 - a record for a pair of sneakers, the auction house Sotheby’s announced on Sunday. The estimated price was $ 150,000.

Why would you want to own shoes that someone else has worn? Even if it is someone as famous as Michael Jordan, it still just seems gross to me.

Well I wouldn't do that either, but people are just stupid enough to buy such things, others buy old furniture, expensive money
