The new Ryzen 7 1700K is one hell of a CPU for the price and for AMD. Totally blows my old FX-8350 out of the park, and that's without overclocking.
Hopefully these will bring Intel's prices down on the existing i7's in the coming months once we can really see how they compare overall.

I'm using the top of the line FX cpu which in linux runs incredibly fast especially with that giant radiator I've got but the new ryzen 7 and ryzen threadrippers are incredibly tempting.
makes me wonder how fast I'd be able to crack a WPA 2 passcode with a 16 core threadripper lol

yeah I'm going to wait a bit, but that's ok, looking at it I guess my next upgrade will be dual GTX 1080's in SLI since my current setup supports it.

Do it!
At the least, boot one up with a VM and get a feel for it. They're rather enjoyable to use.

not to mention the boot time's are not rivaled by any OS that I've used so far from pressing the power button to seeing the desktop, and I don't have to wait for the computer to catch up as all the background processes load.
so it's almost like instant on lol

"You have already voted in this poll."
I don't remember voting before, but my answer is still the same.
AMD
Don't know why I like AMD and not Intel. I've always used AMD.
