@Donut: you know that's actually not something that comes up anymore.
most people I've mentioned that to are more in shock that people actually thought that and on top of it all, then again the trend is to move away from CD drives altogether anyway.

it seems SD cards and USB flash media is going to become the standard in the next couple years with CD drives being an external oddity like floppy drives are now.

There are plenty of laptops being built without them nowadays. I have a 2012 macbook pro. Was studying with a few friends, and one of the first reactions I got was "wow, your mac has a CD drive."

Was like, yep... Tongue

The CD is already well on its way out, sadly.

I will Never surrender my internal disk drive... though I may upgrade to a Blu-ray RW/DVD RW/CD RW if I can find one
