I think you've handled promoting content that's found around your site really well. It doesn't scream "ad" to me, it's integrated and proportionately sized. I definitely think it coexists with the content nicely. The login and regiaster pages (and menus!) are great as well.

Thanks simlink, I'm still not sure about the ad's, I might re-size them. I'll have a play around with them.
