Ah, I see. Make the about page pretty. I like pretty about pages.

The idea of putting the registration on a modal is pretty interesting. It will definitely streamline the process a bit. It may encourage more people to join too, especially if a professional "reasons to join" box is shown neatly on the modal as well.

Obviously make it look nicer. That is done quickly in photoshop to give a demo.
