Lithium ion batteries actually benefit from being charged as often as possible. You definitely won't hurt your battery life doing that, contrary to popular belief. The lithium ion batteries also tend to lose charging capacity as the number of charge/discharge cycles increases, so it's best not to rely on the battery with a power source nearby to prolong the overall lifetime of a battery's capacity in the long run.
