Thank you for the detailed explanation @tc4me and @Guardian! This was very informative and educational. I did not know a lot of this before.
It makes sense. There are many people who want to help and are unaware of how. I envision a day when there is no longer poverty worldwide, when malnutrition and lack of clean water is a thing of the past. Over the past few decades, technology has brought us a long way, but there are still billions of people within developing nations. The corporate/business laws that you describe seem as though they would certainly do more harm than good, as you mention. A healthy economy needs to be able to support entrepreneurs in order to succeed.
