To tell you the truth, I'm not sure at all. I don't have backend access IIRC to actually verify it myself, but looking through the JS and whatever the default file looks like for the dvz_shoutbox.php, I have no idea how it's discerning a mobile user from a desktop user.
And to further the test, I sent a shout simulating a mobile environment, and nothing.
Weird.
It might be interference with another plugin or something Darth may have installed to help site responsiveness on mobile (as we do have a custom stylesheet to accommodate that) but I can't seem to replicate the behaviour ATM.
