Yea it has not changed enough for me. I enjoy using mods. It makes it much more enjoyable to me. I genuinely enjoy the survival part though, and it kinda takes the fun out of it when you can cheat through it.
Lately I've been just digging down to diamonds and collecting a ton of them and focusing on that. I want to do an underwater house at some point too, but that's going to be a pain.
