Regarding the dislike button, it's been requested before. We aren't going to be able to do it in the first version unfortunately, but it's planned for a future release. We're looking at a mid-May release at the moment. Beta testing will begin around the end of April.
I found the forum from your myBB profile, checked it out because I use your announcements plugin and the idea of status updates had me really intrigued
