If I read that correctly, that's 885,000 people, per day, on one single road?
About 10 years ago I lived right next to an interstate and being the bored person that I was, I counted roughly about how many people, per minute, could drive through per lane, per direction. I believe it was somewhere around 50 cars per lane, per minute. Four lanes going each direction, times 60 minutes, times 24 hours, and that's only an absolute maximum capacity of 576,000 or so cars per day between both directions (and that's assuming 100% capacity at all hours of the day, not necessarily accounting for the fact that most of them will be traveling during certain hours of the day). Realistically, the capacity/lane is probably a little lower...
That being said, I'm truly impressed. How wide is this road?
