Guardian: have you considered replacing the thermal paste and running over the fan with some compressed air?

better yet, watercool that sucker lol.

Tongue No, not yet. I suspect it is a faulty thermostat. I have an extra fan on it and it still kicks up to max speed real quick for no reason and stays there. Air coming out is cooler than my PC air, but it still thinks it's dying.
