Do you create designs to cater to lower screen resolutions?

While it is always a good idea to try to create a web design to aim at looking good on an average size screen, you can never really predict what your users are going to be using. You can pretty much safely assume that they won't be using anything earlier than IE 6 and will at least be using an 800x600 screen, but hey, that puts quite a few limits on what you can do with a design! Personally, I try to aim for a design that looks best with screen widths of around 1280 to 1920, and try to create designs that are fully supported in monitors with a 1024x768 resolution as well. Anyone using a monitor with a lower resolution than 1024x768 probably doesn't expect most websites to really look decent anyway. Tongue

What do you normally aim for in your web designs?
