Cities Skylines Financial Districts DLC - Darth-Apple - December 23rd, 2022
Cities Skylines has brought insider trading (literally) to the game as a part of the Financial Districts DLC. You can buy or sell stocks depending on how things are going in your city, and you can benefit (or lose money) depending on how their respective industries perform.
The idea seems interesting to me, but I'd feel too weird about doing literal insider trading on my cities.
The extra districts with new buildings would probably be nice though, Cities Skylines sometimes feels a little bland with the base game's buildings. What are your thoughts on some of the DLCs? Do you own any, and if so, which ones?

The rich and powerful (including politicians) do it already. Why can't we?

Yeah, the idea seems interesting to me... the stock market was an important part of Railroad Tycoon II, but it hasn't featured prominently in any other games I've been playing.
As for whether I'll get this... maybe if I start playing the game again!

After playing the DLC... its kinda gamey. Another way to make a ton of money in the game if you manipulate the industries in your city and buy and sell base don that manipulation. I just hate the progression to open the rest of the DLC almost requires you to manipulate the market.

That'd just feel wrong to me. I know it's just a game, but I'm the kind of person who would actually feel a tiny bit of guilt even though it's not real life.
