Art Through Code

#1
Programming can be pretty artistic if you know how to construct and visualize beautiful logical concepts.

I've done it before. I should do it again.

I'm not talking about full production video games. (though those are art)
I'm talking about simple concepts/algorithms that generate beautiful designs.

Here is one example of such a language that is geared for this type of programming.
http://www.processing.org/

is anyone else into this? (not the language mentioned, but the concept in general)

It does seem interesting. It reminds me a bit of the Khan Aacademy programming tutorials. (I never really got the hang of them because I've been too busy programming actual projects, but hey, I'll admit it's pretty neat. Tongue )

I've seen someone do something simmilar through mathematical equations and computer programming, the results can really be quite stunning. It's really quite a unique way to achieve a beautiful piece of art. Smile

honestly I think any program that does things efficiently and effectively in as few lines as possible is beautiful, in a sense you could say I'm a huge fan of Program Minimalism, people who master this are program artists, and their software is so smooth to use too!
