New Mechkeybo - Thomas - August 22nd, 2018 I bought a new mechanical keyboard. The Vortex Race 3, to replace my Pok3r. Something that I really liked about my Pok3r was using FN + I J K L as arrow keys, so I've programmed this one to do it too and now I'm in love. RE: New Mechkeybo - SpookyZalost - August 23rd, 2018 Oh cool! RE: New Mechkeybo - Guardian - August 23rd, 2018 Love the look! What's the big difference feel-wise for mechanical keyboards? This one has Cherry MX Blues, so there's a bit of a tactile "bump" as you push down, and when you hit that bump point there's a satisfying clicky sound. It just feels great to type on. RE: New Mechkeybo - SpookyZalost - August 23rd, 2018 @ thomas, that's why I like using IBM model M keyboards at work and home lol, not only is it the original "clicky" keyboard but they're heavy and nigh indestructible. I just love mech-keyboards RE: New Mechkeybo - Guardian - August 24th, 2018 Ah, I love the clicky-bump! My current one does it. Didn't know it was a mechanical keyboard! RE: New Mechkeybo - Thomas - August 24th, 2018 What model is it? RE: New Mechkeybo - Darth-Apple - August 26th, 2018 Keyboards have gone backwards I feel. Just look at the new macbook keyboards... I can definitely type faster on a desktop mechanical keyboard any day. Nice keyboard, love the look! It's the one shown here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2sThPiZuXgg (August 26th, 2018 at 3:52 AM)Darth-Apple Wrote: Keyboards have gone backwards I feel. Just look at the new macbook keyboards... I like the clicky-clicky ones. RE: New Mechkeybo - Thomas - August 26th, 2018 (August 26th, 2018 at 5:58 PM)Guardian Wrote:(August 24th, 2018 at 6:59 PM)Thomas Wrote: What model is it? It has a pronounced 'clickiness' to it. RE: New Mechkeybo - SpookyZalost - August 29th, 2018 Guardian, doesn't mean it's not a good keyboard man, a sturdy keyboard is a good keyboard really, better than those d*** gummy keys apple likes to use... RE: New Mechkeybo - Thomas - August 30th, 2018 I returned this keyboard. I didn't like it as much as my Pok3r, shown here RE: New Mechkeybo - Guardian - August 31st, 2018 (August 29th, 2018 at 6:59 AM)SpookyZalost Wrote: Guardian, doesn't mean it's not a good keyboard man, a sturdy keyboard is a good keyboard really, better than those d*** gummy keys apple likes to use... Yeah, no thanks on those things. RE: New Mechkeybo - SpookyZalost - October 18th, 2018 @ guardian, I've actually got one of the old I-Mac G3 Apple keyboards from back when they were halfway decent to use RE: New Mechkeybo - Guardian - October 18th, 2018 (October 18th, 2018 at 4:34 AM)SpookyZalost Wrote: @ guardian, I've actually got one of the old I-Mac G3 Apple keyboards from back when they were halfway decent to use How is it now? Back then there wasn't much to compare it to. RE: New Mechkeybo - SpookyZalost - October 19th, 2018 Actually it's not bad, and the side usb is handy since I only need one for the mouse RE: New Mechkeybo - Guardian - October 20th, 2018 (October 19th, 2018 at 6:07 PM)SpookyZalost Wrote: Actually it's not bad, and the side usb is handy since I only need one for the mouse The new retro sales pitch: iMac keyboards. I could see people going crazy for them. It's Apple. |
