Volkswagon to put all electric microbus into production this year.

So I just got through reading an interesting article.

with Tesla dominating the Electric car scene and oil prices skyrocketing Volkswagen have decided to release a new version of the classic VW microbus dubbed the I.D. Buzz.

With a look calling back to the classic of old in this design the bus is completely different under the hood.  For decades Volkswagon had trouble meeting safety standards with a combustion powered vehicle, the last of which was produced in 2013 as the 2013 Kombi.  however in the age of the electric car this has changed.  Taking their own version of the under floor battery system that's made tesla's vehicles so well designed and spacious this new microbus seats seven comfortably with as much interior as a large SUV in a microbus package.

It's 369 horsepower total output isn't going to win any speed contests with an acceleration of 0 to 60 in 5 seconds and a range of 270 miles.  But that's not the point.  This is meant to be an economically friendly electric vehicle.  With a lower end model for less money, a Cargo version in the works, and even plans for an autonomous version as well, I can see this possibly taking off as a budget conscious alternative to Tesla.
why are oil and gas prices rising? Pure money-mongering, Russia and everyone else is delivering more than is needed despite the war. The only ones getting rich now through scaremongering are the stock exchanges and companies
