What's your monitor resolution?

Side note: civ V multiplayer is insanely broken.

True... indeed, for certain games, there's a disadvantage. For example. Crypt of the NecroDancer looks pretty dumb when it's stretched onto a larger monitor!

(And, yes, it is Tongue . I've never really tried, except a couple of informal games with friends, that never got very far)

If a game doesn't have a setting for HD, it's too old for me to bother with. hehe

I am still on 1080p. I'd much rather have a high refresh rate and low response time than bigger resolution.

3440x1440 - it's an ultrawide.

Was using a 1920x1080, but it started flickering and hurting my eyes and ended up needing to replace it. I typically buy my monitors used from local computer shops, so they're usually very old by the time I get them.

I wouldn't mind having an ultrawide. It seems good for multitasking.

This month I was gifted a 16:10 Samsung Business IPS with 1920 x 1200 resolution.

Didn't have a new one for like 5 years.

I'm so pleased with it! All vendors really have come a long way with monitors, tech progress is amazing in this regard, also less bad plastics and more quality materials on them.

Yeah, instead of surprise gifts, we have a nice little routine where we ask each other 'what do you need' when birthdays are approaching...and then going to look together, online or retail traditional, sometimes both.  Smile

By the way, these days most brand phones are a lot more expensive than decent monitors!

Very nice. That's the best way. Nothing wasted.

I have a 24" Acer 1920x1080, 60fps. It was 144, which is its refresh rate. But after getting a new video card, it locks at 60fps. Weird!

I do partially lol.

in order it's.
size (measured diagonally of course)
Brightness
Resolution
refresh rate?/Type of display?

I now have 3 monitors btw.
2 Dell P2417H's (over display port)
and 1 Acer UT220HQL touch screen. (over HDMI)
all 3 are 1920x1080 resolution at 60 hertz OLED.
One is rotated 90 degress so it's 1080x1920
Total resolution reported by Xrandr: 3000 x 2476 across 3 displays.

Video card is an Nvidia Geforce RTX 4060Ti
