Called tyrants: Not all heads of state congratulate Joe Biden

Obama's former vice president is considered the most promising Democratic candidate in the next election in the USA. With his ambitious promise, he is currently causing a stir.

Joe Biden was named the 46th US President of America by US TV stations on Saturday, despite massive evidence of election fraud and ongoing Trump lawsuits. A worldwide round of congratulations began, and Federal Chancellor Sebastian Kurz and EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen also joined in.

Some countries held back. They wait to see what the courts decide. Left-wing media speak of the "silence of the tyrants".

Mexico / Russia await official results
But one thing is clear: it is not the media who will choose the US President, who will be officially sworn in on January 20, 2021. Because in America there is no marketing but a constitutional system.

Some heads of state should know this, and there are also those who can get on well with the still incumbent Republican US President, Donald Trump: for example, Mexico's President, Andres Lopez Obrador, who wants to wait until all legal issues have been resolved. He could neither congratulate one nor the other candidate. He wants to wait for the electoral process to finish. The same thing said Russian President Vladimir Putin: the correct way is to wait. Russia will not recognize a new president until the "official election results" are confirmed - this will take place in the US states in the next few days and weeks.

Hungary / Israel: cryptic desires
Hungary's head of government congratulated Biden not on his election as president, but on his “successful presidential campaign”, which could be taken ironically. In September, Orban said a Donald Trump victory would be his "Plan A" and that he had no plans for a Biden presidency. Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who has close ties with Trump, took 12 hours to send “congratulations” to Biden. What did not stand for.

Slovenia to Biden: weakest president
Slovenia's Prime Minister, Janez Jansa, an avowed Trump fanatic, did not offer congratulations. He openly questioned the election results in the US: the courts will ultimately decide the winner, he said. His assessment of Biden: he would be one of the weakest US presidents in history.

Brazil's Jair Bolsonaro also waived congratulations, as did Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, China's President Xi Jinping and the Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. North Korea's Kim Jong-un, with whom Trump was the first US president to meet and who had a de-escalating effect on him, is also silent. About Biden, Kim said: he has a low IQ.

I'm so relieved Trump is gone. Hopefully he ends up in prison soon.
