Debian vs Ubuntu...

#37
@lain: would you believe that's Enlightenment 16, with a dark theme, a mars wallpaper, conky, and moving the bar to the side?

E16 btw is super oudated XD like it was in use before ubuntu was a thing.

@Darth-Apple thanks! yeah getting the nixie clock to work was a real pain, the clock works by updating images for each nixie tube, and the background of them is black so... it just sorta fit with the wallpaper lol.

Linux used to have a lot of good options for Widgets. I'm surprised Windows docked them. Gnome of course doesn't really like them. Gnome sort of went their own way and made everyone else follow along. Finna

bah, conky is the most configurable widget tool I know of, and with a bit of python and lua you really don't need much else :\

just a lot of fiddling.

into the trash it goes
Debian is more lightweight and more stable, but the Debian devs tend to get "stable" confused with "outdated by three years." I think qt is still like six versions behind or some shit, takes forever to get Latte-dock working unless you start using testing/unstable branches.

Just use gentoo desu

There's nothing wrong with systemd.

Just uninstall gnome and install openbox!

sudo apt-get remove ubuntu-gnome-desktop
sudo apt-get install openbox

Crunchbang hasn't had a release in 7 years...
