The Political Compass - Darth-Apple - August 28th, 2013 http://politicalcompass.org/test It's definitely an interesting test I'd recommend to anyone. I scored out as being slightly upper-left wing. RE: The Political Compass - Gmdykfuiygh66476 - August 28th, 2013 hehe RE: The Political Compass - Darth-Apple - August 28th, 2013 I scored about the same place on the compass, but I'm very slightly upper wing instead. Seems like we're pretty much in the same camp. RE: The Political Compass - simlink - August 28th, 2013 I'm left leaning. Surprise surprise (not) RE: The Political Compass - Acko - August 28th, 2013 I stand at -2.75, -5.74 (link if you want to print this to honor my beautiful score on your wall: http://politicalcompass.org/printablegraph?ec=-2.75&soc=-5.74) RE: The Political Compass - Agandl - August 28th, 2013 that was interesting - but a bit broad brush Economic Left/Right: -5.00 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.97 A. RE: The Political Compass - SpookyZalost - May 25th, 2017 Economic Left/Right: -4.13 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.59 RE: The Political Compass - Guardian - February 22nd, 2019 Economic Left/Right: 3.0 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -7.08 RE: The Political Compass - SpookyZalost - February 22nd, 2019 huh, I've unexpectedly become more libertarian and socialist in the past couple years. Economic Left/Right: -6.5 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.44 RE: The Political Compass - Guardian - February 22nd, 2019 (February 22nd, 2019 at 2:03 AM)SpookyZalost Wrote: huh, I've unexpectedly become more libertarian and socialist in the past couple years. Socialist would go more up than left. Left is more liberal socially. Socialist is more fiscally authoritarian. RE: The Political Compass - SpookyZalost - February 22nd, 2019 well i do kinda consider myself a technocratic social democrat RE: The Political Compass - Guardian - February 22nd, 2019 (February 22nd, 2019 at 2:15 AM)SpookyZalost Wrote: well i do kinda consider myself a technocratic social democrat Now you lost me. : RE: The Political Compass - SpookyZalost - February 22nd, 2019 whatever is best for the people, determined by the people via majority, with the most skilled and best qualified in charge. Who determines this? Depending on personal politics this could skew in many directions. Democratic Socialists of 1930's Germany thought this guy to be Hitler, 1930's Chinese Communists thought this person to be Mao Zedong, while 1900's pro-Independence Indians thought his person to be Mohandas Ghandi. It could go many ways. RE: The Political Compass - SpookyZalost - February 22nd, 2019 eh I don't like the idea of a singular leader, I like the idea of a council of experts with the president mainly being a specialized diplomat who works with other nations. The problem is the 'majority' has proven incapable of selecting these experts/representatives that have their best interest in mind. RE: The Political Compass - SpookyZalost - February 22nd, 2019 that's why I think the council of experts (each one overseeing something relating to their skillset), should be determined in a neutral non-biased way based purely on capability. it's not perfect, but it's better than letting one person control the entire country, especially given how some of our leaders have been over the years. Maybe this concept needs a charter, and can be applied to the Moderns faction. I'll stick with my wild west ways for the Ancients. |
