Learning Graphic & Web Design? - 3DWaffle1 - August 13th, 2013

How do you learn Graphic & Web Design? Do you go to school for it? What is the best way to learn?

For me, I learned simply by getting into it and doing it more than anything. It's one of those thongs that you learn best by experience, although I've heard good things about places like Treehouse and other similar programs that will teach you as well. I would recommend starting out by getting a good foundation in HTML, and codeacademy.com is a really great resource for that sort of thing. W3schools also helped me a lot in helping me learn PHP, although different things work for different people.

For me, I was sold on Design when SSD was open (a proboards GFX Design Forum). I picked up tutorials along the way and taught my self. It's fun and a great hobby for me.
