I have a cheap LG. They are better than samsung, but that's about all I have to say. Tongue

I have an old Nokia (not the really old "invincible" ones) just some middle "meh" variety Nokia.

RE: Mobile phone brand - Darth-Apple - August 8th, 2013

the nokia ones are probably in the same category that the LG and samsung ones are. Do the nokia's run j2me apps well?

Samsung phones don't work well with j2me, and LG ones are alright. J2me is one of those things that can add a lot to lower end phones for sure.

RE: Mobile phone brand - forthwall - August 8th, 2013

I don't know, my phone is perpetually stuck in 2005, it only can run apps reinstalled and all of the apps no longer are supported. Tongue

RE: Mobile phone brand - Darth-Apple - August 8th, 2013

that sucks. Some older phones tend to not like j2me for some reason. Many of them have exploits that allow you to install j2me apps from sites like getjar.com (which might work without an exploit if your phone still allows downloads), but most apps might not run well on older phones anyway.

I am using HTC One X ... By the way I am in love with my android phone. It’s really a bundle of entertainment. I am a student of law and always prefer those companies which may follow all the conditions regarding applied laws of business

My favorite mobile phone brand is iPhone OS and it has been extended to support other Apple devices such as the iPod Touch, iPad, iPad mini and and second-generation Apple TV. The operating system was unveiled with the iPhone at the Macworld Conference & Expo.

RE: Mobile phone brand - Darth-Apple - September 5th, 2013

It's definitely neat to see the support for IOS expanding as it powers other devices such as iPods and iPads. Apple has some great products for those who can afford them.

RE: Mobile phone brand - Acko - September 5th, 2013

I myself have an iPhone, I hate it now, so I will be getting a replacement soon.

RE: Mobile phone brand - Darth-Apple - September 5th, 2013

Just don't switch to windows phones... they are worse. Tongue

RE: Mobile phone brand - Acko - September 5th, 2013

I know better than to fall into that trap. Tongue

If only all mobile phone users were as you... then maybe the metro interface wouldn't exist today. Tongue

I'm thinking about getting an iPhone 5 next month. I don't currently own a functioning smartphone, cause my LG one broke. Should I get an iPhone? What do you think?

RE: Mobile phone brand - AtlasWest - September 22nd, 2013

I'm using the Nexus S from Samsung/Google. It's a great phone, I've had it for over 2 years now. I'm planning on getting the successor to the Nexus 4.

RE: Mobile phone brand - Tyler - September 22nd, 2013

I have the Iphone 5. Tongue

Currently using a cheap generic android... however this is the one I want.

the Neo900
it's an open source re-invented Nokia N900
with hackable open source hardware and full specs and schematics for making your own stuff on top of it.

then again there's another alternative now

I could always craft one!
