I'm always ready for the rain. Now it's just hot here. Rains over unfortunately.

Yeah, we thought it was a peanut allergy, seemed to have just been her stomach rejecting it rather than an allergic reaction. Summed up to minor food poisoning. She's a champ.

Uh oh... I'm sorry to hear about that. Glad she seems to be doing better at least...

RE: The general chat thread - Guardian - May 23rd, 2018

Yeah, no worries. She seems to take everything in stride. She's a tough little bugger.

Welcome back, long time no see! Glad to have you back around, and look forward to seeing some of your posts!

@Harry K. Yeah, I saw... It's bittersweet. I remember when I stumbled upon Icyboards years back, and I was very much surprised to find that a down-to-earth, high quality MyBB host actually existed. From his perspective, I can 110% fully understand. Forums have been on the downhill run for years, and I can only begin to imagine how time consuming it had become to run. I will miss the community.

RE: The general chat thread - VSS - May 29th, 2018

im glad i only had test boards setup. i have set up some on jcink and createmybb3 sites

RE: The general chat thread - Martin - May 29th, 2018

Yeah I really only had test forums there nowadays, and one old forum that died in 2014 which I will want to back up, just in case. Free forum hosting really seems to be dying off, I think partly because they're expensive to run nowadays with increased needs such as mobile friendliness, secure servers, GDPR, etc.

Expensive to maintain, time consuming to adapt to current market demands, and paltry profit potential if any.

It really is dying off. It's sad.  Undecided
