What was the biggest age difference between you and your partner? How about you now?
With my previous wife the difference was 16 years by which she was younger, with my current wife (Bianca) it is even bigger, she is 31 Y and I am 55 Y

My wife is a year younger than me, and all my others have been no more than 2 years younger to 3 years older. Once I got with my current wife... not much I can do to change that for now.

I'm currently single, and the only proper partner I've ever had was only four months older than me, so I have no idea how to deal with a significant age gap

I've had a few women I've been serious with...
they've all been older than me but for some reason I was the more mature one... that ended up being part of the problem...
as for how to deal with it, the easiest way is to accept the differences and spend time getting to know each other a bit more.
My husband is five months 7 days older than me. We've been married for 26 years now.

I got asked once by a friend of mine who fell for an 18-year-old - I said that 5 years was bordering on too much of a gap. I said this because, at some point, there are differences in life stages that each person is at and 5 years seems like the appropriate deadline.
