I doubt it, but would be stoked if it could happen. I would much rather develop and then exploit a planet that's currently a rock rather than destroy this one.

Then, there's the chance for another habitable planet without too much effort too.
you know technically if humanity really put their full weight behind it they could terraform venus too, but they'd need an artificial day/night regulation satellite ring around the planet, and to sublimate the current atmosphere before constructing a new one.

but why not 3 garden worlds instead of 1 or 2? Big Grin
That would be fantastic! Oh, if only. I know I'm unlikely to see progress on that in my lifetime.

VENUS as a garden world
Ok, that just looks amazing. We really need to make this happen. Preferably before I die.
technically if you applied enough technology you could terraform the moon, jupiter's moons, mars, venus, saturn's moons, and if you really wanted to invest in some serious mega installations, mercury, uranus's moons, neptune's moons, and pluto + charon.

but that's neither here nor there... in fact, we really need a terraforming thread lol.
A mountain has about the same weight as a neutron star, the densest object in the universe with the exception of black holes themselves. Doubt we're gonna be moving mountains anytime soon. Tongue
They do it in China all the time!
