WhatPulse

#1
This thread made me think of WhatPulse, a program that keeps track of you daily computer usage stats. I've been using it for about 10 years now and it's just interesting to keep track of how many keys I've pressed or mouseclicks I've made. Does anyone else use it? It's not as popular as it used to be.

Wow! I haven't used WhatPulse in 15 years! I didn't know it still existed.

Ooh, I had no idea that this website had a topic about this, I've been using it for about six years now. I had no idea that Whatpulse had a forum until today; there's a button to see a user's forum posts in the interactive infobox.

I think Derpvince was a computer I used for schoolwork and nothing else, and now that I'm out of school and have no idea what has become of it it won't get any more pulses for a long while (maybe forever!) Tongue

I'm surprised to see that support is getting dropped at all. Linux has gained a lot of support in terms of applications in the last decade. Dropping support for linux is a mistake.

Yeah that seems.... dumb. Granted, they see the statistics on the backend. Maybe they currently just don't have enough usage to justify. Still seems off.

A lot of applications have Linux versions that are very poor compared to their windows counterparts too. Skype is a perfect example of that.

When steam started pushing Linux compatibility, the desktop scene for Linux improved considerably though. 15 years ago it used to be a little bit of a challenge to find good software for Linux in a lot of cases. Nowadays it’s (mostly) a non issue.
