This is a seriously good idea. Any way someone else can contribute?

Soon there will be, I have already pestered Darth-Apple to do some work, which he has kindly agreed to do. Tongue I will be looking for help once the site is on a hosted server, currently I am only working on this in localhost. I will let you know when. Smile

^ Thanks guys, means a lot. Big Grin

I've been working on the thread views again, but today on the Quick reply and post reply sections. I have removed the majority of the options making these pages more focused on joining the community discussion than all those unnecessary options no one ever uses. Tongue Here is some quick previews, they look really bland and I am hoping to improve this but for now, what I have done so far will be suffice.

^ I am hoping to create a new editor style that fits the site more nicely and seamlessly, however am still undecided on how I could manipulate it. I will post an update when I have done some work on it.

Not much else I have touched up on yet, I'm hoping to have a marathon later this week! Big Grin

EDIT: Forgot that I worked on profiles yesterday! I have condensed some of the information on the profiles of users, but I am unhappy with the outcome, I feel I can redo it more nicely. Let me know what you guys think! http://speedcap.net/sharing/files/8d/c9/...21f73e.png

EDIT #2: Updated first post, the first post now has all the updated images.

I'm in love with all of it! Excellent work! I'm thoroughly impressed with the simplicity of everything. MyBB is way too complex by default, in my opinion.

I agree, they have too many features that are just "there", no one uses them, but they can be nice to have. I want to remove them from view on the main forum, but in the control panels I want them to still be able to customise their browsing experience.

I think I am finished with showthread. Not sure if I am going to change it anymore.
Here is a snip of them currently: http://speedcap.net/sharing/files/ac/5d/...6862cd.png
As you can see under the avatar section, the double "WHAT?"'s. Can anyone suggest something I can put there? However, the links must be viewable to Guests.

Quick update, not done much today. Worked a little on the profiles but they look really messy so I'm not bothering to show you guys that.
I have updated the header links, making both Market and Community dropdown menu's with search bar's for their respective area's. They also have menu links, however am not sure whether to use icons for the "Community" section or not. Here are the screens:
- Market: http://speedcap.net/sharing/files/53/22/...297b62.png
- Community: http://speedcap.net/sharing/files/a5/42/...4663fd.png

Edit: Update #2 - I think I have finished the login & register pages, I am happy with the outcome so far. Smile
- Login: http://speedcap.net/sharing/files/e2/93/...4c1add.png
- Register: http://speedcap.net/sharing/files/7d/87/...5be202.png

Edit: Update #3 - Small update, I have been working on ways I can help developers get their products out their. In this mission I have explored many different ways to advertise their products around the site without it looking like annoying advertisements - you don't understand how hard this is! Going back to earlier in development you may have noticed a section on the home page, that lists some of the products available. I thought this was a great idea - and still do, however I don't believe it's enough. I mean, how many times will people actually see them if they are returning customers? So - I have started exploring more idea's. So far this is what I have got for content creators to advertise:
- Home page section(as seen above): http://speedcap.net/sharing/files/a7/21/...b984db.png
- Forum home header ad: http://speedcap.net/sharing/files/d5/bf/...6723c6.png
- Social "share" on product page: http://speedcap.net/sharing/files/5c/2e/...59d7c5.png
- Latest submissions section on forum home: http://speedcap.net/sharing/files/95/81/...c95697.png
So far, that's all I can come up with. Confused However I am reluctant to put any ads inside the forum, such as threads, profiles ect... Anyway, that's all for now! Smile

I think you've handled promoting content that's found around your site really well. It doesn't scream "ad" to me, it's integrated and proportionately sized. I definitely think it coexists with the content nicely. Smile The login and regiaster pages (and menus!) are great as well.

Thanks simlink, I'm still not sure about the ad's, I might re-size them. I'll have a play around with them.

Maybe in place of the WHAT?s you can place "online status" and nationality? Latest contribution?
I find that having to open three links for a view of one page is kind of a drag, could you stitch them together for convenience?

I like that background-image idea you used for the profiles. Really adds a nice touch to the normally shallow MyBB default profile.

Yeah, I remember this from time to time. Something I was really looking forward to seeing take off. At least you got Forumonic now!

I'm sorry to hear that.

I know the feeling, believe me. I lost 7K lines of code I had written for a file exchange. When you work hard enough on something few things are more upsetting than losing it. Finna

I believe that's why saving every 5 minutes with double backups is important lol.

at least that's my policy... I've seen enough dead hard drives in my life to be anal about data saving and backup.

It was saved, but I disappeared from everything for around 2 years. Lost everything including my PC which is where I had all my work. Sad And used a shitty online screenshot service to show screenshots.
