The bad thing about giving people a higher minimum wage is companies are going to do one of two things (or maybe both).
- They are going to hire less people to work for their company because they have to pay their people more money. This means that you'll be doing more work than you were previously.
- They are going to charge more money for their products/services etc. This means that you're still not making enough money to live on.
They just decided to boost the minimum wage in my state to $11 per hour not that long ago....that's the reason for me bringing this up.
