My primary browser is Firefox, although I have Chrome and IE to test some things. The Chinese Maxthon browser is also a very interesting browser - although their browser default homepage is usually lost in translation.

Chinese maxthon browser? I haven't heard of it. I'll have to check it out sometime.

Although Chrome is probably better, I prefer Firefox for unspecific reasons.

You know how people want to see what their website looks like in mostly every popular web browser. Yeah, something like that. The fact is, there are people who still use Internet Explorer, and I don't want my web pages looking horrible if they actually do stumble across my website(s).

Precisely. I have noticed IE10 is a huge improvement. It likes rendering things much better and more, you know, where I coded them to go rather than "surprise! Your menu is halfway down the page somehow. :|" Tongue Still not my favourite broswer, but I'll use IE10 over FF.

Netscape Tongue

or W3...

jk I kinda use Chrome and Firefox interchangeably

RE: Web browser preference - Guardian - February 21st, 2019

Definitely Chrome. It's a resource hog, but much quicker than the rest.

May need to update the poll and add EDGE since that is the IE replacement.

RE: Web browser preference - SpookyZalost - February 22nd, 2019

lol yeah, though as a replacement it's ok I guess?

IE and edge are just kinda meh for me.

Edge has gotten a lot better since Microsoft ditched the core engine and switched to a Chromium based browser made in their image. It still sucks though.

Yup. Tongue

If you can't beat them, buy them right?

Oh wait, Google wouldn't sell to Microsoft. Ok.... If you can't beat them, steal their stuff right?

Guardian, Microsoft can only improve by using linux... right? lol.

speaking of, we're using linux here at work... because IBM bought redhat.

Well, that was the Apple approach anyway. Tongue

Microsoft unfortunately has my employer by the *** and is ingrained in everything we do. Linux would be cool!

RE: Web browser preference - SpookyZalost - February 22nd, 2019

let me guess.

"licenses and agreements"?

or maybe... "Security risks due to untested"?

RE: Web browser preference - Guardian - February 22nd, 2019

All of the above. It's a massive waste of money. Even in the training they have intended to teach us how to use a new product they are providing, its a sales-pitch for it how it integrates and performs well with this other Microsoft product that we absolutely need.

Drives me crazy.
