The Orville - Altair - February 7th, 2019

Anyone body here watch The Orville?
Ed Mercer an exemplary officer gets his own ship to only find out his ex wife is his commander. Its basically star trek 2.0 but is a great sci-fi show about exploring space. They deal with a lot of serious issues. For example in one of the previous episodes they deal with the topic is Issac the android sentient. At the same time there is humor in the show.

RE: The Orville - Guardian - February 7th, 2019

I've only seen previews but it appears to be pretty funny.

Was not sure if it was more humor-oriented or they actually make it a good sci-fi show as well. If it works for both, it could be worth watching.

RE: The Orville - SpookyZalost - February 10th, 2019

I like it, it's a nice tribute/parody to/of star trek while being it's own thing, and it's very much inspired by the next generation given how the episodes are laid out.

it's like the happy issue of the week explorers to Discovery's dark and gritty drama.

Great episodes so far, really looking forward to Season 3!
