Hosts with Negative Reviews

I haven't had my current web host long enough to give a review. But I can warn you all what host not to go with. I had HostGator for a few years, and their service, reliability and performance took a huge nosedive when they got sold to Endurance International Group, and moved all the data to their servers in Utah. Since then, all my sites have performed poorly, supports gotten worse, and overall had a terrible experience. Finally decided to get a new host when this happened: http://mashable.com/2013/08/02/bluehost-down/

Anyway, they spend a lot of money on marketing and promotion, so don't fall for their trap.

I haven't heard good things about hostgator, and definitely would not consider using them myself. Thanks for sharing.

I have also added a negative reviews list on the OP.
So far so good on T1Hosting, but I don't have anything up and running per se yet... RL took over. I'll be able to say more in the coming weeks.
The price is great, though.
Name of Host: Reprise Hosting ( http://reprisehosting.com )

Services offered (e.g. VPS, shared, etc...): VPS, dedicated

Review & General Thoughts: I just bought an Intel Xeon L5420-based dedicated server from them two days ago. It's very fast for being all the way in Seattle, uses the reliability of SuperMicro server hardware, it's cheap ($29.95 a month), and the upgrades are rather affordable (I got a 50meg line (with a mix of Level3 and AboveNet/Zayo bandwidth) for free on Black Friday that would be $22.95 a month extra otherwise). Plus, FREE IPMI! No more having to shell out $30 to reinstall the OS on your dedicated server!

Servers are in Seattle, Washington with the Optic Fusion ( http://opticfusion.net ) datacenter.

Seems like they offer a lot for their pricing. I'll have to consider them once I find the need to purchase a dedicated server.

Yeah, definitely. It's lease-to-own also (mine is not due to it being a special) but I'm unsure what their colo price is.
