Everyone has to start somewhere, and web design is no exception. First websites can be some of the most laughable things ever created in the history of mankind, but if it's a launching pad, I don't consider it a waste. Tongue

So, what was your first website?
_____________________________________________________________
Personally, mine is hard to even share. It was pure HTML, written when I was in elementary school. Absolutely no CSS or PHP whatsoever. Thankfully, I no longer have the files Tongue
Mine was a SimCity-related blog/info site for my city showcase blog. We're talking SimCity 4, not the current fiasco. It closed a few months in largely because I needed the slot on weebly - where it was built. This was back when you could only have 2 sites. That site, though practically useless, did spawn my sim-game forum, so it wasn't all bad. Tongue
I cannot remember what was my first website, as I have created and abandoned over 20 sites.
My first website was a couple of .php pages that linked to each other. First, I wrote 'em up in notepad, then I saved them with the .php extension. After, I uploaded them to a free web host. Let's just say the pages had no CSS and not much content. The most that you could have found was the links with their default color, a paragraph of junk text that I just felt like writing, and a white background (yes, imagine it and you'll know what I'm talking about).

That was my first website. Nothing much, and I never even made it public. Well, it was sort of public because of the Internet, but I never advertised the sub-domain that I got, so no one really knew of the website besides myself. Of course, in the end I deleted it. I wonder if it might have still been here today if I did not, lol (maybe not because the host might have deleted everything due to inactivity - you guys know how the stories go).
Well the forums I've started up is my first forums, and I think its doing pretty well Smile

Forums count as websites as well.
That would have to be either PromotionZone or a website I created with pure html/css about my favorite FPS game. I think I've lost the files anyways. Tongue
My first website was "ChatterzWorld"" but then some stuff happened, couldn't pay for it anymore. Now I have "Nation Forums".
Lol my first website dealt with majorly copied scripts and html and css but I mainly learned from a guy I will never forget his name is EdzJohnson on youtube Search him guys..

The site itself looked pretty decent but wasn't really resolution friendly by that I mean that was before I knew about div's so I always used Span class id and style.
I should have used better tutorials to start out myself. I only learned HTML, and didn't really bother with CSS, javascript, or anything else at first.

Gotta start somewhere I suppose. Tongue

@Burned Designs: I just checked him out, he seems to have some nice tutorials. Big Grin
Yes he does thats how I learned I never took a single class for any programming languages.
I never took any classes either. It's really quite nice how much is available online nowadays. It really helps a lot for the amateur web designer.
