Thanks so much for your post here Pierre..

It may be at least a few days before I can update here in My CJ  because of the holidays

Also I was not sure what type of transit image you had in mind, if you could be a bit more specific on your request please ?
It seems that I didn't reply to your query of last December about the type of transit image that I would like to see. It is time to reply now and to bring some more activity to your CJ.

I'll illustrate my query with examples from my own cities in the Talaran cluster. Here are two pictures, one showing a part of a city (a part of its CBD in this case), with the volume view for subway etc, the second one showing an enlargement of the volume window for subway etc:

--> Do you see now what I would like to look at about your city - which, I think, has meanwhile grown?

Yes, actually showing the traffic volumes would be a nice idea for me as , right now since the city is relatively small.. i still have few congestion issues..
I have done a pretty good job planning the city's transit system so far not to have any traffic congestion issues at all. So I am happy with this aspect ..

The city has grown maybe a little bit yes since my last main updates last December..

It is really hard to say , since right now the population is still fluctuating a lot.  ( I think the main cause of this is still the park central condos which change a lot in wealth values..)
But I think i have seen the population "highs" get close to 250 K at times...

I have a large reliance on GLR ( tram) traffic in this city.. and also i am just starting to establish a subway system Smile

So here is my most recent volume traffic view of the GLR/ Subway system with the current city population at 202 K -

Nice work! Thanks for that update and for the picture. Indeed, you have done a very good job sofar with your city's transit system. Some sections are well used but not saturated at all.

I think that that city has great potential, and I am looking forward to futher updates.

Is your subway network entirely separate from the GLR network, or do you have some GLR-to-subway transitions?

Not at the present time.. but it sounds like something i should consider for later as the city continues to grow ?
As the city has exploded in growth ( approaching quickly 400 K in population ),

finally the long awaited Manhatten Hill condos have started to grow in ( these are the slightly smaller blue condos in y pic)..
there are 2 new ones here :

The city is now fully in transition as you can see from farm land and rural , to a large sprawling urban center-

Looking fancy!
It is starting look a bit like Hong Kong, minus the waterways. I'm not sure that I would like to live on the 37th floor of one of those huge condos, with other huge condos outside my windows. Undecided

Joke aside, where do all those Sims find work? How do they commute? Does your GLR network still have capacity?

So the population continues to grow..
I am now at 383 K-
So doing a quick estimate of workers at the present ( 35 %- 40 %) of the population , gives us about-  14, 500 workers

Surprisingly, i still have over 2,000 farm workers..

But I would say a fair amount of them are now working in my expanding CBD-
Most are commuting there thru my expansive GLR/ subway network -
I have a pretty large subway station centralized in the CBD-

it has been awhile for a post here ..
but i have finally reached the mile stone of surpassing 500 K ( Half Million) population ..

So here is the most recent pic of a dense part of my city -

Nice picture! Congratulations for your 500k milestone!

What is this round residential building in the center of the picture? I haven't seen it elsewhere yet.
That's awesome! Congrats on 500k!

Very nice! I love the light rail next to to the avenue.

Oh i would say at least 10 tiles apart or so Smile

I have reached a new milestone in my region population by surpassing th 17.5 million mark on my w ay hopefully to a goal of 20 million in a sc4 region..

here is a image taken from the florida panhandle, where I have started to expand my city development now -

Very cool! One thing I always loved was the maps based on real geographic locations.
Thanks for the reply about the round residential building. Troglodyte indeed: most residents (over 4500 of them) appear to be living underground, since the building is so low over the ground.

Btw, the stats produced when querying this building show 'Residents Regionwide' as over 18 Millions; yet the game tallies a bit over 17.5 Millions in your lates picture (congrats for that!). This discrepancy is curious.
Thanks for your new reply here, Pierre

You know i did give this some thought after you pointed this out..
At first i thought maybe it was actually a calculation for " capacity" rather than current populations..
But if it was "capacity", I would expect really for a figure higher than 18 million for the entire region..

So my second best guess, would be some sorta error in there calculations ?
